If we were by the shore
we would feel the ocean’s roar
and know, too, the waves that soar
in our hearts

if we three came to where
the sea’s mist caressed our hair
and moistened the sands of care
for all the creatures here

then time would only be
circles spinning endlessly
touching not, we three
Rain, Peter and Me

If love was like a fawn
that leaped out
to share the dawn
and brought back those
that have gone

if gently it could be
that they’d ride with just we three
we’d all glide so gleefully
on sweet streets of sanity
paved with serenity
we’d beckon all humanity
to see that

time could only be
circles spinning endlessly
touching not, we three
Rain, Peter and Me

so softly we must flee
to arms waiting patiently
to hearts dormant in the shadowed day
of darkness, we can rise
from sad and tear-stained eyes
to clear sites for truthing paths of love

and time will only be
circles spinning endlessly
touching not, we three
Rain and Peter and me
